Jet Airways will resume its full domestic schedule starting Tuesday with 78 flights to and from Chennai, connecting Tamil Nadu’s capital city with the rest of India.

Jet Airways said it has been assessing the situation round the clock, working closely with its team on the ground, and has fully mobilised its resources to bring back normalcy to the travelling public in and around Chennai. 

Jet Airways flights to Chennai operated yesterday and earlier today, have also carried basic resources like drinking water and refreshments for its Chennai airport staff.  

Jet Airways has made available cargo space for relief material and basic supplies and medicines, as also free travel for doctors and volunteers carrying out humanitarian work.

Commenting on the development, Cramer Ball – CEO, Jet Airways said “The closely coordinated and unstinted efforts of our teams have been exemplary. Being able to move quickly, mobilising resources have been key in ensuring re-commencement of all domestic flights, at the earliest possible time. This clearly demonstrates our commitment as an airline in helping Chennai and regions getting back on its feet as quickly as possible. I thank the staff on their commendable efforts in helping assume normal flight operations”.

Cramer Ball said, “I am also happy to announce the resumption of our international flights to Abu Dhabi and Singapore on December 8 and 9, respectively.”

Jet Airways’ call centre has been reinforced with additional resources to provide priority assistance to guests impacted by the floods.  

Airline guests with prior confirmed bookings may get in touch with Jet Airways’ contact centre on (city code) 39893333, ticketing offices or their Travel Agents, in case they wish to rebook their flights. The airline has allowed full refunds or no charge for rebooking till Dec 15, 2015.
