Low-cost airline SpiceJet Ltd on Thursday launched its first international direct flight from Ahmedabad connecting Dubai.
Ahmedabad is the fourth destination in India from which the airline operates to Dubai. At present, SpiceJet operates direct daily flights to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi. On this route SpiceJet will deploy Boeing 737 -800 aircraft with a capacity of 189.
SpiceJet has been working on new destinations in the domestic market as well as on international routes as the carrier has set its sights on expanding its coverage in phases on a regular basis.
The airline has already announced that it will be launching Delhi-Riyadh and Delhi- Guangzhou flights from January and February next year respectively.
