Trujet will now be able to start flights to Mumbai, Shirdi and some more cities. This follows the airline being given the Air Operators' Certificate in the Scheduled Commuter Category.
Incidentally, Trujet's is the first AOC under the SCC, which has been issued by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation.
"Earlier, being a scheduled regional airline, Trujet could not operate to metros of other regions. Under the SCO category, they can operate to metros of other regions also,” a senior official of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation said
