Pune played host to the third edition of the SME CEO Knowledge Forum on December 16. The 20-city series that will be taken across the country is aimed at helping CEOs of SMEs identify and track the innumerable variables that are needed to make their businesses profitable.
The series is an initiative of The Hindu Business Line and sponsored by UTI Mutual Fund.
The programme began with one-on-one mentoring sessions on finance, HR, marketing and taxation, and experts on these subjects interacted with the participants.
This was followed by addresses by Bhareth L. Ghia – Country Head, SME & Distribution Channel – UTI MF, who spoke on avenues for investing surplus cash, and Yogesh Dixit, Director, Crisil, who demystified the subject of credit ratings.
Sunil Kode, Head, Human Resources - Mather and Platt Pumps Ltd; M. V. Krishna, AVP, (Marketing), Piaggio Vehicles; Nilesh Modi, international tax expert, KPMG in India, and Kailash Katkar, MD & CEO Quickheal Technologies, addressed various issues that affect SMEs.
