Tata Consultancy Services has launched its new Editorial Collaboration Platform (ECP) for media companies.
This cross-media collaboration solution was unveiled last week at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas.
Online system
The ECP provides an online system in editorial planning of web-based publishing and radio and television broadcasting. It helps unify data by removing information silos, integrates Microsoft Outlook and other databases, to simplify editors’ daily lives, the IT consulting major said.
“This solution would allow media companies to transition from channel-centric media production to transmedia story-telling, and enable creation of editorial communities to collaborate across multiple locations, virtually,’’ said Mr Kamal Bhadada, Vice-President and Head (Media and Information Services), TCS.
The solution works with Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint Online and windows Azure platforms.
“In this rapidly evolving marketplace, media operations can maximise their collaborative potential by focusing on product innovation rather than worry about continuous investment into a cluster of custom-made production tools,’’ Mr Bhadada said.
