IT peripherals and consumer electronics manufacturer Techcom on Wednesday said it will invest Rs 100 crore for building its brand by the next two years.
“The company will invest about Rs 100 crore in the next two years in build branding,” Techcom Director, Mr Sandeep Kedia, said.
The company, which had made a foray in mobile handset market last month, is selling 50,000 units a month and it is targeting to sell 2,00,000 handsets a month in the coming period.
The company is planning to launch 3G-enabled handsets and smartphones in the next three to four months time.
“We are planning to launch two handset models each in the next 3-4 months,” Mr Kedia added. Last month, the company forayed into the mobile handset business by introducing seven models at market price ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 4,000.
The company engaged in IT peripherals and consumer electronics, covers the whole of India via over 10,000 channel partners.
The company has its corporate headquarters at New Delhi with 15 branches across major cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, and Surat.
The company has over 300 employees across its 16 offices in the country.
