WNS Global Services, the country's third largest pure play back-office company, is planning to set-up its first delivery centre in the US this fiscal.

The company already has 3-4 customers who are willing to be serviced out of the US once it sets shop in the country, according to Mr Keshav Murugesh, Chief Executive Office, told Business Line .

“Quite a few customers have work which they are not comfortable in offshoring and want it to be delivered near them. Moreover, as a global company we need to create jobs onsite given that unemployment is a major theme in some of these countries,” he said.

The company is currently evaluating several low-cost locations in the US. It is also open to the option of taking over its clients' employees onto its rolls. Going forward, the company also intends to strengthen presence in Australia in addition to establishing a beach head in South Africa, said Mr Murugesh.

In addition to India, WNS already has delivery centres in the UK, Costa Rica and Romania.

The company, which counts British Airways and Aviva amongst its large customers, said despite the overall sluggishness in the industry, it continues to have a healthy deal pipeline.
