State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Tuesday introduced data sharing special tariff vouchers (STVs) in south zone and will soon implement it on a pan-India basis for pre-paid mobile subscribers.
The company said 11 data sharing packages are available under this scheme, which starts from Rs 173 for 1.2 GB for 18 days to STVs of Rs 2013 for 21 GB for 90 days of validity (exclusive of service tax).
The STVs allow sharing of data among a group of pre-paid subscribers, the company said. adding thay a pre-paid BSNL customer can subscribe to this data pack and share it with other four pre-paid subscribers.
RK Mittal, Director, BSNL board, said that BSNL is providing community data sharing STVs for all segments of society as per their requirement.
Subscribing to community data pack scheme and adding of accounts – up to four numbers can be done through the BSNL Web portal, the company said. No charges will be levied for availing this facility, it added.
