Marking its entry into the IT sector, the Mumbai-based Carnival group has acquired Leela Infopark at Kakkanad from Leela Lace Holding Pvt Ltd.
The Carnival group bought the IT Park for around ₹280 crore. The property comprises four towers spread over 6.5 acres. A statement issued here by Carnival said the main objective of acquiring the park is for asset creation and lease rental income.
This deal comes after the Carnival group acquiring HDIL’s multiplex chain Broadway Cinemas for around ₹110 crore, Shrikant Bhasi, Chairman, Carnival Group said
The group has diversified business in hospitality, media and entertainment and multiplex. It has already established its brands in movie production, distribution and exhibition along with food courts, events, equipment rentals etc.
The group is currently present in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
