Personal computers and laptops maker Hewlett-Packard (HP) India on Thursday launched a slew of commercial mobility solutions priced between ₹22,000 and ₹95,000.

While a few of them are already available in the market, some of the products will be available from next month.

“Mobile devices are changing how we live and work, and they pose significant challenges to IT departments who have to support their now mobile workforces while keeping corporate data managed and secure,” Ketan Patel, Director, Computing Category, HP India, said.

Mobility not only changes where people work, but how they work. The current approach to business mobility is to retrofit consumer devices and attempt to make them enterprise-ready, or drive customer lock-in to a single platform or device, he said.

Consumers can also choose to buy the new tablets, 2-in-1devices, and notebook PCs which have both Microsoft Windows operating system and Google’s Android. All devices have feature built-in security and can be tailored to meet specific use-case requirements with a focus on embracing business mobility, the company said.

In addition, new HP commercial devices now come with the option to access the iPass global Wi-Fi network. iPass and HP are making it simpler and more affordable for business users to connect to the Internet locally and stay connected even when they are travelling, it said.

Customers who purchase new HP devices with this option will be able to register and automatically get access to millions of hotspots on the iPass global Wi-Fi network for one year at no additional cost, the company added.
