Idea has tied up with Google for direct carrier billing with Google Play, the company said on Thursday.
"This will enable Idea subscribers to purchase content from Google Play and pay for the same using Idea Mobile account," P Lakshminarayana, COO-Corporate, Idea Cellular, said.
An Idea subscriber can buy an app or pay for in-app features on Google Play Store and charge it to his post paid bill or pre paid balance.
These transactions will attract a convenience charge, Lakshminarayana added.
