Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its latest handset, the Redmi 3S. While Redmi 3S is priced at ₹6,999, the Redmi 3S Prime comes at ₹8,999.
Both models will be initially available on Mi.com and Flipkart, starting with Redmi 3S Prime on August 9, the company said.
“Redmi 3S packs a 4100 mAh battery that easily powers through two days of usage on a single charge, and is the first smartphone in India powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor,” said Hugo Barra, Vice-President, Xiaomi.
Redmi 3S has a 5-inch HD display, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Flash, while the Redmi 3S Prime has 3GB RAM and 32 GB Flash.
Xiaomi started its Redmi series three years ago. It launched the first Redmi smartphone in India in August 2014.
