NetApp has finished the third cohort of its accelerator programme, and opened registrations for the fourth.
The Excellerator programme is designed to nurture data-driven technology start-ups.
The third batch of six start-ups focussed on technologies like artificial intelligence, cloud, cyber-security and analytics, applied in wide-impact areas like operations, and marketing and healthcare, the company said in a statement.
All the six — CloudOptimo, InstaSafe, FirstHive, Praktice.ai, Cardiotrack and Zscore Technologies — underwent a four-month programme following and they presented their products to a panel of venture capitalists, industry leaders and top NetApp executives.
Further, NetApp provided an equity-free grant of $15,000 to all the start-ups.
Ajeya Motaganahalli, Senior Director and leader of the NetApp Excellerator Programme, said: “After evaluating over a 1,000 start-ups and closely working and mentoring 18, we are able to look back with some degree of satisfaction that we have been able to make a difference in the deep-tech and B2B start-up ecosystem.”
FirstHive and Cardiotrack have joined NetApp as strategic alliance partners, which means that the latter will co-create solutions and go to market with them. They join BlobCity, SigTuple, Nanobi and Scalend from the last two cohorts. With this, six start-ups from across the programme alumni have cemented their association with NetApp.
