A pirate’s life | Assassin's Creed Unity

If your virtual avatar is that of a pirate, you’re probably an Assassin's Creed fan. And you’ll soon experience a different kind of Assassin's Creed game – Unity, the latest iteration of the game will come with an all new cooperative-multiplayer gameplay, with up to 4 players being able to play simultaneously. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the seventh instalment of the Assassin's Creed franchise will be set within Paris during the French Revolution. The single-player campaign-story will see Arno Dorian on a quest to expose the true powers behind the Revolution.

Game of the Rings | Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Developed by Monolith Productions and due to be released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Shadow of Mordor will bridge the gap between the events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The protagonist, Talion, is a ranger from Gondor. His family, guardians of the Black Gate of Mordor, were killed by Sauron’s army. This game is Talion’s quest to exact revenge. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor also follows an open-world gameplay, where the player can embark on side quests and explore what’s touted to be a very vast gaming environment.

Another world’s horror | Alien: Isolation

Ready to join the sci-fi horror franchise is Alien: Isolation. This first-person survival horror stealth game is being developed by The Creative Assembly and will be published by Sega. Alien: Isolation has a plot which is set in 2137, 15 years after the events of Alien. Playing as Amanda, players will investigate the disappearance of Ellen Ripley, Amanda’s mother. So far, all we know is that Amanda flies to the space station Sevastopol, to recover the lost flight recorder of Nostromo. Only, she has to face the horrific infestation that is the Alien.
