Reliance Communications, the country’s fourth largest mobile operator by revenue and subscribers, has launched unlimited data plan with speeds of up to 14.7 MBPS. Under the plan –‘True Unlimited Plan’ - there will not be throttling of network (slow connections) for the validity period, even if the users exceed the bandwidth usage limit.

 

The service has been launched across Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, while the company is looking at Mumbai and Delhi by this Christmas, Gurdeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer (Consumer Business) at RCom said.

 

“This is a step to further establish our leadership position in data services,” Singh said, adding, RCom gets 24.4 per cent of its revenues from non-voice.

 

The ‘True Unlimited Plan’ is priced at Rs 999 per month and is launched under the brand ‘Pro 3’. 

 

RCom has also upgraded its network across the cities where it had launched the services to support speeds of up to 14.7 MBPS.

 

The network upgrade ensures that constant high speed would be available to users, especially in-doors. This plan would also help in churning in of subscribers,” he added.
