TWith the Andhra Pradesh High Court rejecting their pleas, Mr B. Ramalinga Raju, founder Chairman of Satyam Computer Services, his brother Mr B. Rama Raju, and six others would move the Supreme Court seeking bail in the multi-crore financial fraud.
“With the special CBI court and the High Court turning down the petition, we will move the apex court in the next few days,” sources close to Mr Raju told Business Line on Tuesday.
Arguing against granting bail two days ago, the Central Bureau of Investigation told the court that it needed more time.
The accused had begun efforts to seek bail in August 2011 after the July 31 deadline set by the Supreme Court for completing the trial expired.
While cancelling the bail in October 2010, the court had said that the accused could seek bail again if trial was not completed by July 31, 2011.
Sources close to Mr Raju said he and the other accused may approach the Supreme Court for bail. They, however, did not confirm when they are going to file the petition in the apex court.
