Twitter India has launched an awareness initiative to address the needs of blood donation and increase blood donations. The initiative will be driven by Twitter Lite, a stripped down version of the main Twitter app.

“The state of blood donation in India is 9 million in supply and 12 million demand, according to WHO data,” said Taranjeet Singh, Country Director, Twitter India.
