As the BJP-led NDA celebrates the electoral victory at the Indian national elections, social networking websites also basked in the glory of the Narendra Modi wave.
Among the many messages and status updates on Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter that poured in, one said, “Darwaza khola toh saap nikla, yeh Narendra Modi toh Rajnikanth ka baap nikla”
Poking fun at the Congress Vice President, a message on Twitter said, “Rahul Gandhi for Big Boss please”, to which a follower replied if it meant “Big Boss on Pogo”.
Taking a dig at Arvind Kejriwal, a twitteratti said, “AAP got more slaps than seats” while someone else tweeted, “Apparently...TATA nano has more seats than kejriwal's AAP”.
Journalist and analyst ShankkarAiyar tweeted “BREAKING NEWS: WhatsApp has been renamed - Shu-Che”.
Not leaving aside bollywood’s Himesh Reshamiyya, one of the tweets said, “Performance of Himesh's 'The Xpose' better than Congress & AAP.”
After the news that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated Modi, Bollywood actor Ravir Shourey tweeted, “Congratulating is not enough, please handover the @PMOIndia Twitter handle to Narendra Modiat the swearing in ceremony!
Another agitated voter wrote, “Message by #RahulGandhi : Sorry indians we are leaving to Italy , will be back after 10 years with my corrupted frns”
A facebook status said, “After results of elections, BJP will travel in AirbusA-320, Congress in a one-train compartment (72 seats) and AAP in an auto (with 3 seats)”.
From the famous ‘abki baar..Modi sarkaar’ slogan, someone wrote that “Latest slogan by Congress… ‘abki baar, Antim sanskaar’ (funeral rites).
