Chennai-based Vakilsearch, which offers online legal, tax and compliance technology services, seeks to raise over $5 million in Series B funding for its next growth curve.
Early-stage investors Kalaari, who backed the company in the two rounds earlier, will be joined by new investors, according to a statement. The company will use the funds to boost the range of service offerings and the cities it covers, it added.
“In the last seven years, Vakilsearch has become India’s largest legal, tax and compliance tech company. We have created ripples in the Indian start-up scene offering a combination of accessibility and quality,” said Hrishikesh Datar, CEO, Vakilsearch.
Vakilsearch.com claims it does about 10 per cent of all new business registrations in India and, over the years, has brought together more than 11,500 professionals on its platform.
