Steady conditions prevailed at the local chemical market today as the prices moved in a narrow range, due to lack of worthwhile buying activity and settled around the previous levels.
Traders said negligible enquiries from consuming units mainly kept the prices steady.

Ammonium chloride (50 kg) 1,000-2,200, acetic acid (1kg) 36-44, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) 450-480, boric acid technical (50 kg) 3,400-3,800 and borex granular (50 kg) 1,800-2,000.
Caustic soda flake (50 kg) 1,200-1,350, citric acid (50 kg) (China) 3,000-3,500, citric acid deshi (50 kg) 3,100-3,400, camphor slab (1 kg) 440, camphor powder (1kg) 430, glycerine (1 kg) 110-120, hexamine (1kg) 82, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) 33-35, mercury (34.50 kg) 95,000, menthol bold crystal (per kg) 1,355, menthol flake (1kg) 1,315 and mentha oil (1kg) 1,265.
