Pulses and pulse seeds, barring chana and masoor, ruled flat on subdued demand.

Chana perked up due to rise in futures and improved demand from the millers. Prices in the spot were up by Rs 20 at Rs 2,480-2,500 a quintal.

Chana ( desi ) ruled firm at Rs 2,425-2,430 and chana ( mausmi ) quoted at Rs 2,400-2,600 a quintal. With meagre arrivals and fluctuating demand, chana prices in the physical market have been fluctuating. Chana prices in the spot here on Tuesday remained unchanged.

Chana dal, however, ruled steady at Rs 3,125-3,150 a quintal, chana dal (medium) at Rs 3,000-Rs 3,025 and chana dal (average) at Rs 2,900-Rs 2,925.

Masoor, on the other hand, traded low on slack demand in the physical market.

Masoor (bold), which in the morning was ruling at Rs 2,800 a quintal, declined by Rs 50 with its prices in the spot quoted down at Rs 2,750 in the evening in the absence of demand. Masoor (medium) was quoted at Rs 2,500 a quintal. Masoor dal, however, ruled steady on subdued demand with masoor dal (bold) being quoted at Rs 3,425-3,450a quintal, masoor dal (medium) at Rs 3,325-3,350and masoor dal (average) quoted Rs 3,200-Rs 3,225.

Absence of demand kept tur (Maharashtra/white) steady at Rs 2,950 and tur ( Nimari ) was quoted at Rs 2,500 a quintal. Tur dal prices also remained unaffected with tur (marka) being quoted at Rs 5,800, tur dal (full) at Rs 5,250-Rs 5,300 and tur dal ( sawa no.) quoted at Rs 4,400-4,450 a quintal.
