Prices of most of pulses moved up at the wholesale market here on rising demand from retailers and stockists due to ongoing festive season against tight supply from producing regions.

Firming trend in producing regions further fuelled the uptrend, they said.

Rajmah chitra and kabli gram small rose to Rs 4,300-5,000 and Rs 5,900-8,500 against last close of Rs 4,200-4,900 and Rs 5,800-8,200 a quintal respectively.

Urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 100 and Rs 120 to Rs 3,850-4,250 and Rs 4,700-5,100, respectively.

Urad dal best quality and dhoya local moved up by Rs 100 and Rs 200 to Rs 5,300-5,400 and Rs 5,100-5,200 a quintal respectively.

Masoor small and bold gained Rs 50 each to Rs 2,750-3,050 and Rs 2,900-3,150, while malka local and best quality traded higher by a same margin to Rs 3,350-3400 and Rs 3,500-3,600 respectively.

In line with a general firming trend, arhar and its dal dara variety gained Rs 100 each to Rs 3,100-3,600 and Rs 4,500-4,900 respectively.
