With not much trading in the market, prices of both aromatic and non-basmati varieties remained unchanged on Wednesday.
After witnessing a drop at the beginning of this week, aromatic varieties have managed to maintain their previous price levels. There are not many buyers in the domestic market and traders are not getting bulk orders from the overseas market as well, said Mr Praveen Kumar, a rice miller. Market may continue to rule around current levels for next few days, he added.
Pusa-1121(steam) ruled around Rs 5,000 a quintal, Pusa-1121(sela) was at Rs 4,100-4,140, while Pusa-1121(raw) ruled at Rs 4,975-5,000 a quintal.
Prices of duplicate basmati quoted at Rs 3,650-3,775 a quintal. Pure basmati (raw) ruled at Rs 6,500 a quintal.
Prices for the brokens of Pusa 1121, Tibar was quoted at Rs 3,100-3,350, Dubar at Rs 2,400-2,625 and Mongra was at Rs 1,900-2,150.
Sharbati (steam) quoted at Rs 3,100-3,200 while the Sharbati (Sela) ruled between Rs 2,900-2,990 a quintal.
PR11 (Sela) ruled at Rs 2,000-2,125 while PR-11(Raw) quoted at Rs 1,900-2,060 a quintal.
Permal (sela) ruled at Rs 1,750-1,965 a quintal, while Permal (Raw) traded at Rs 1,900-2,100 a quintal.
Brokens of the Sharbati variety, Tibar was quoted at Rs 2,350-2,520, Dubar was at Rs 2,100-2,230 and Mongra ruled around Rs 1,750-1,800 a quintal.
