Wholesale sugar prices remained quiet in the national capital today following ample stocks amid sluggish demand.
Market analysts said availability of adequate stocks to meet the ongoing marriage season demand mainly kept the prices unaltered.
Markets had ample stock position as the Government released free sale quota of 1.68 million tonnes during the month.
Following were the quotations in Rs per quintal:
Sugar ready M-30 2,940-3,065 and S-30 2,915-2,940.
Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,850 and S-30 2,685-2,825.
Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,850, Asmoli 2,830, Mawana 2,810, Titabi 2,780, Thanabhavan 2,760, Budhana 2750 and Dorala 2,800.
