Bearish sentiments prevailed in pulse seeds and pulses on weak physical demand and decline in buying support from millers.
Tur (Maharashtra) was quoted at ₹5,400 (down ₹300 from last week) and tur (Karnataka) at ₹5,500-5,550 a quintal.
Tur (Nimari) ruled at ₹4,500-4,800. Tur dal (imported) ruled at ₹7,700, tur dal (full) at ₹8,200-8,300, while tur dal marka was quoted at ₹8,500.
Weak demand and rise in arrival of new moong in Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere in the country also pounded moong with its prices quoted at ₹6,700 a quintal. Compared with last week, moong is ruling ₹300 a quintal lower.
Decline in moong also dragged its dal with moong dal (medium) being quoted at ₹7,700-7,900, moong dal (bold) at ₹8,200-8,300, while moong dal mongar was quoted at ₹9,200-9,400 a quintal. Increased availability of imported crop and scattered arrival of new urad in some parts of Madhya Pradesh also dragged urad and its dal with urad (Mumbai) being quoted at ₹6,200-6,300, (down ₹200), while urad (Madhya Pradesh) ruled ₹6,700 a quintal.
