A change in weather condition and reports of scattered monsoon in parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra dragged demand in pulses and pulse seeds. The uptrend in chana and other pulse seeds seems to have ended with chana (kanta) quoting at ₹4,550-75 a quintal . Chana (desi) at ₹4,250-4,300 and chana (mausmi) at ₹4,300- 4,350 a quintal. Pulse seeds may see a bullish trend if there is deficient monsoon, said Mr Prakash Vora, a trader told Business Line . Dollar chana ruled firm at ₹4,800-5,300 a quintal on buying support. In container, however, dollar chana (42/44 count) traded at ₹6,025-50, dollar chana (44/46 count) ruled at ₹5,850-75.
