PS Reddy has taken charge as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) of India on Friday.
His appointment has been approved by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), for five years with effect from May 10. Prior to joining MCX, he was associated with Central Depository Services and its subsidiaries for over 12 years in various capacities and as MD and CEO when he quit the organisation.
Prior to this, Reddy worked with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for over 18 years, leading various departments such as Listing, Surveillance, Inspection, Investor Service, and HRD among others.
He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and has over 30 years of experience in diverse roles with a host of senior level positions to his credit in clearing, financial and securities market, exchange and its ecosystem businesses.
