The arrival of turmeric for sale has witnessed a fall. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, finger turmeric sold at ₹5,829 to ₹8,349 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹5,255 to ₹7,691. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹7,179 to ₹8,374 , and root variety at ₹6,989 to ₹7,959 . At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society , finger turmeric sold at ₹7,503 to ₹8,188 and root variety at ₹6,499 to 7,555.
