Tracking a weak global trend, gold dipped 0.21 per cent to Rs 24,950 per ten grams at the futures trade today.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December fell Rs 53 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 24,950 per ten grams in a business turnover of 2 lots.
Likewise, the yellow metal for October contract eased by Rs 39 or 0.16 per cent to Rs 24,749 per ten grams in 482 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to a weak trend in the global market.
Meanwhile, gold prices were down at $1,088.91 an ounce from $1,089.55 yesterday in Singapore.
