After doubling capacity in the last three years, Somany Ceramics plans to add 30 per cent more capacity by end-2016. Rising penetration in urban and rural areas and rising incomes in smaller cities and towns will drive sales and profits at the third largest tile-maker in the country. Though a late entrant into the high-value, polished/glazed vitrified tiles segment, Somany has gained momentum in this space over the last couple of years. Analysts expect the stock to see a rerating.
