IDFC AMC will launch a three-year closed-ended IDFC Equity Opportunities fund offer on April 9. The NFO closes on April 10 and has plans to mop up about Rs 125 crore.
Benchmarked against the BSE -500, IDFC Equity Opportunities – Series1 would be handled by Kenneth Andrade, IDFC’s Chief Investment Officer. “This scheme would focus on ancillary businesses to major sectors such as auto, textiles and the like,” said Andrade.
“The guiding principles of portfolio construction under the scheme are companies with a long and good track record with stable promoters.
“They should also satisfy the low to moderate leverage criterion along with the ability to efficiently allocate capital,” he added.
