Energy sector stocks remained the predominant gainers in late trading on the NSE on Wednesday. At 4 pm ONGC was firm but a tad lower than its morning level at ₹404.95. This represented a gain of 2.08 per cent on Tuesday’s close at ₹396.70.
BPCL also held steady at ₹582.85. This was a gain of 2.01 per cent on its previous close at ₹571.35.
IDFC moved up 1.75 per cent at ₹139.45 as against the previous session's close at ₹137.05.
ITC traded up 1.70 per cent at ₹341.50 as against Tuesday’s close at ₹335.80.
ACC spiked up 1.20 per cent at ₹1,435.55. The stock had ended Tuesday’s session at ₹1,418.55.
