Foreign institutional investors need not file reports to market regulator SEBI on outstanding positions, if they do not have any short positions, the market regulator said on Tuesday in a circular. However, the prohibition on the activity of synthetic short continued, the SEBI circular said.
According to June 29, 2010 circular, FIIs are required to submit weekly reports to market regulator.
