Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals will turn ex-date for the proposed buyback on Monday. That means, shareholders wishing to participate in the proposed buyback need to own BHEL shares by Friday. The PSU company plans to buy back 18.93 crore equity shares (nearly 5.16 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital) at ₹86 apiece, translating the buyback issue size to ₹1,628 crore. The stock is currently quoting at around ₹70.50, at a discount to the offer price.
