Manappuram Finance fell 11 per cent after the company posted weak December quarterly numbers.
The stock crashed to Rs 37.8, a fall of 11 per cent on the NSE. Trading volume jumped to 23.85 lakh shares on the BSE against its two-week average of 9.19 lakh shares.
The company after market hours on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 84.4 crore for the December 2012 quarter against Rs 161.4 crore in the year ago period. Its net interest income was down at Rs 277.14 crore (Rs 424 crore).
