Tata Steel Europe has received an order to supply 7,000 tonnes rail for a Crossrail project in London. Steel for the project will be manufactured at Scunthorpe in the UK before being rolled at the company’s Hayange mill in France. The company, however, has not disclosed the order size in the latest release. It has already commenced deliveries to the Crossrail project, and will supply the project with more than 57 km of its heat treated, wear-resistant rail.
