Pharma stocks Sun Pharma Industries and Lupin made rapid strides in the second half of the session on the NSE on Friday. At the close Sun Pharma was the top gainer. It was quoting at ₹782.20, up 4.54 per cent on yesterday’s close at ₹748.20.
Lupin perked up 3.24 per cent to trade at ₹1,129.90 as against ₹1,094.40 at close on Thursday.
Hindustan Unilever also made further ground to trade at ₹663.75 as against ₹642.90 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 3.24 per cent.
HDFC was trading firm at ₹1,067.75, up 3.04 per cent on its previous close at ₹1,036.25.
Asian Paints moved up 2.79 per cent at ₹637.40. The stock finished yesterday’s session at ₹620.10.
