The Vedanta scrip extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 5.18 per cent by the close on the BSE on Friday. At 3.30 pm the share was quoting at Rs 146.20 against Rs 139 at close on Thursday.
Sun Pharma Industries also extended its morning gains to trade at Rs 904.8 against Rs 872.30 at close overnight. This represented a gain of 3.73 per cent.
HDFC Bank advanced 1.48 per cent to trade at Rs 1,089.55. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 1,073.65.
Cipla perked up 1.39 per cent to trade at Rs 649.95 against Rs 641.05 at close yesterday.
BHEL resumed its recent firm trend to quote at Rs 268, up 1.38 per cent. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 264.35.
