Metal shares were broadly firm on the NSE on Tuesday morning. At 10.24 am Hindalco Industries gained 3.09 per cent to trade at Rs 83.45 against Rs 80.95 at close yesterday.
Vedanta spiked up 2.58 per cent to quote at Rs 99.45. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 96.95.
Punjab National Bank traded up 1.85 per cent at Rs 131.85 against Rs 129.45 at close yesterday.
Power Grid Corporation charged up 1.59 per cent at Rs 131 against Rs 128.95 at close last evening.
NTPC steamed up 1.51 per cent to trade at Rs 134.70 against Rs 132.70 at close overnight.
