The rupee fell by 4 paise to Rs 45.65 against the US dollar in the early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market today, weighed down by gains registered by the greenback against other currency rivals.
Forex dealers said besides the dollar’s gains against other Asian currencies, a weak opening in the stock market due to foreign fund outflows also put pressure on the rupee.
The domestic rupee had ended flat at 45.61/62 against the US currency on Thursday.
