Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company has entered into the health insurance segment with the launch of a critical illness cover.
Under the plan titled Bajaj Allianz Life Health Care Goal, an entire family of up to six members can be covered under a single policy with one premium, its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Tarun Chugh, told newspersons at a press conference held here on Monday.
A policyholder can cover his entire family (up to six members) under one policy to cover 36 critical illnesses. Each individual in the family will be covered by a separate sum assured. A claim made for one member does not reduce the sum assured for others, he said.
At the end of the policy term, the company returns all the premium paid towards the policy in case no claim has been made in the policy.
Though specific details may wary depending on the cover sought, the minimum premium under the plan is Rs 3,000 with a cover of Rs 10.50 lakh, while a premium of Rs 53,000 provides a maximum cover of up to Rs 50 lakh for a family of four, he said.
