UAE Exchange has introduced a mobile payments app called XPay Wallet. V George Antony, Managing Director, UAE Exchange, urged customers to download the app to make cashless payments.
The mobile app featuring QR code can be downloaded free from Google Play or from the company website www.uaeexchangeindia.com.
The company, a major player in the remittance business, has been licensed by the RBI to issue digital wallets. Digital wallets had outgrown credit/debit card usage in India last year, with more than 125 million users, said Antony.
With XPay Wallet, users can transfer money to another person’s wallet and shop round the clock.
They can also send money from their bank accounts to XPay Wallet, and the other way round, for a fee.
They can preload money in the app, either from a company branch, or via credit/debit cards or net banking.
