The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) has made maximum efforts to address the concerns of industries in Karnataka, according to Kishore Alva, President, BCIC.

Releasing the annual report of BCIC recently, Alva, who is also the President and Executive Director of Adani-owned Udupi Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL), said 14 domain-specific expert committees were formed and the top executives with vast industry experience were appointed as chairman and co-chairman for each of the expert committee.

Each committee was assigned with the specific task of understanding the concerns of its respective domain and were presented to the government, he said.

Quoting Alva, a press release said here that the chamber has enriched its level of credibility within the government and allied circles for its proposals and recommendations on various issues concerning the industry and trade.

This can be gauged by the fact the many of the recommendations and suggestions put forth by the chamber to decision makers have been accepted and implemented by the government, he added.
