CAI (Construction, Architecture and Interior) Expo 2018 took off to a great start at the Codissia Trade Fair Ground here on Friday.
The three-day expo (September 21-23), organised by The Hindu BusinessLine in association with i ads & events group, has brought players from construction, architecture and interiors under one roof.
The CAI segment is undergoing a sea change with home buyers looking for newer products and services and eco-friendly technologies, prompting designers to reshape the way they build. Over 55 participants from various industries, including tiling, roofing, doors and windows, interiors and so on have showcased their products and technologies. Participants revealed that in view of the rising demand for environment-friendly buildings, designers and builders are focussing on the use of non-toxic products. The passion for owning property is evolving amongst Indian buyers with new demands on builders, architects and interior designers, they added.
Conceptualised by i ads & events as an annual event for the industry, the expo, which is in its third year, has grown into a multi-city event. The title sponsor is Doosan Bobcat, and the event has been powered by K-LITE.
