C. Chandramohan, president, and S.N. Raghuchandran Nair, secretary, of the Chamber said here party politics should not be allowed to come in the way of development.
They termed as unfortunate concerted bids by a few politicians and green activists to undermine the Emerging Kerala event being held in Kochi from September 12.
Economic and infrastructure development is the need of the hour. It is natural that specific projects need land to base them on. Needless controversy on this count should be avoided.
Environmental obsession must not be allowed to override developmental needs of the State, they added.
