TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, hosted the first startup boot camp on behalf of the State Government on Thursday, World Entrepreneurship Day.

The boot camp aimed to create a grassroots-level network of students to promote entrepreneurship and also familiarise them with the process of incorporating and running a company, a spokesman for organisers said.

A startup boot camp is known to introduce aspirant entrepreneurs with tools, strategies, and confidence needed in order to assess, determine feasibility of, and launch new businesses.

It also features the presence of technology entrepreneurs, experienced entrepreneurs, governmental officials, and prospective local angel investors in order to catalyse the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

According to Sanjay Vijayakumar, Chairman, Startup Village, Kochi, who inaugurated the event, boot camps will help students give shape to their dreams and improve industry exposure.
