National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in Mangalore will coordinate the admission process under the direct admission of students abroad (DASA) scheme of the government.
A press release by NITK said here that admission process has been launched for foreign nationals, persons of Indian origin and non-resident Indians under the DASA scheme of Union Ministry of Human Resources Development.
This admission is for undergraduate programmes in engineering and architecture for the academic year 2013-14 to national institutes of technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology and other premier Centrally-funded technical institutions in India.
The ministry has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under DASA scheme for the academic year 2013-14 to NITK, it said.
Students who have secured at least 60 per cent aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the senior secondary or equivalent with mathematics, physics and any one of the subjects from chemistry, biotechnology, computer science and biology in 11th and/or 12th are eligible to apply. Applications are to be submitted online before May 25, it said.
