Industry chambers meet: RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das will meet the industry chambers today to discuss and understand their issues. The industry has been pitching for a rate cut amid falling inflation and factory output. The meeting comes ahead of the sixth-bi monthly meet.

Company results : Hindustan Unilever is set to announce its Q3 results today. The industry analysts expect the results to be in double digit driven by volume growth and operational performance. Federal Bank, Aditya Birla Money, AU Small Finance Bank and L&T Technology Services are also expected to announce their third quarter results today.

Kotak case : The Bombay High Court is likely to hear the case of Kotak Mahindra Bank against RBI on the dilution of promoter stake. The central bank had asked Kotak Bank to reduce the promoter stake to 20 per cent by December 31 and then to 15 per cent by March 2020. The bank challenged the central bank after it refused to approve the PNCP issue method of dilution.

Telangana Assembly : Telangana Assembly will begin from today. AIMIM MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan has been appointed the pro-term Speaker. The day one agenda of the Assembly include oath taking of the newly elected MLAs, to elect the Speaker and Governor’s address.

Lokpal committee : The Centre is likely to submit its affidavit on the steps taken to appoint a Lokpal Committee today in Supreme Court. The apex court had earlier this month, directed the Centre to mention the steps taken since September 2018 to set up the committee.
