The entertainment industry in Telangana has heaved a sigh of relief after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave the go-ahead for shootings and post-production activities.

This would help the industry complete pending projects worth hundreds of crore of rupees.

The exhibitors, however, will have to wait for some more time as the government refused to allow cinemas to resume operations.

The Chief Minister, however, has asked the industry to follow safety norms, including physical distancing, while resuming work, and limit the sixe of the team.

A delegation, led by actor Chiranjeevi, held discussions with Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav recently to discuss the possibility of reviving film shoots. They had also met the Chief Minister.

After holding discussions with officials on Monday, the Chief Minister signed the file, allowing the industry to resume work.
