Kairos Society, a US-based global association of fledgling entrepreneurs that helps its aspiring entrepreneurs under 25 years in expansion and finding resources, has appointed Govind Kavaturi as the President of Kairos India. He will hold the post for two years.

Govind Kavaturi, who was Vice-President of the society in India, helped its maiden President Santosh Yellajosula to start its operations in India and spread the word about the organisation. Santosh will continue to advise the society.

Govind heads the Indian operations of Palo Alto-based technology company Branch. Incidentally, Branch also used Kairos network to kick start its operations in India.

Kairos calls for applications from young entrepreneurs and inducts them into the organisation. Once they become members, they get access to the worldewide network of Kairos, one of the important player in the start-up ecosystem.

Using its network, Kairos helps its members find human resources and expand to new geographies. It also helps in other ways that makes it easy for start-ups to expand in a new country.

“We will have our release of new fellows by March 2017 and are fully committed to send a few startups to K50 2017,” Govind has said after being anointed as the President of Kairos India.

“VC Firms will be partnering with Kairos India from this year to source early stage startups. Our regional centers across the country will play much stronger role in anchoring startups in their region to make them not only investment ready but also help them to get in touch with the VC firms,” the organization said, while making the announcement.

“Our current centers are at BITS Pilani, BITS Pilani Hyderabad, IIT Mumbai, IIT Kharagpur and VIT. We are keen to add up more regional centers and increase our engagement with young entrepreneurs in universities,” it said.
